What You’ll Need:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz) kidney beans
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin

  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make It:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in the chili powder and cumin, letting the spices toast for about 1 minute.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and kidney beans (including their liquid) to the pot, stirring to combine.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
